A MUCH-LOVED music teacher has been christened ‘wonderwoman’.
Children at Moore Primary School said goodbye to Lynne Ford as she retired after 24 years service.
Each week she has taught more than 250 pupils in music and guitar lessons as well as band and choir practices.
Head teacher Jan MacDonald said: “Lynne is absolutely amazing. Her energy and enthusiasm for music in our school has been immense and we will miss her terribly.
“We hope she enjoys her retirement and the opportunity to spend more time with her family.”
Children sang special songs at a special retirement to bid farewell and presented her with flowers, a cake and money to buy a border collie puppy.
She was also given a wonderwoman costume which she wore for pupils afterwards.
