A RUNCORN man branded ‘the neighbour from hell’ played pop music so loud people living next door could hear the words, a court heard.

Stephen Parry, age 42, of Hedge Hey, Castlefields admitted nine charges of breaching noise abatement notices and was fined £400, plus victim surcharge and £200 costs by Warrington magistrates on July 9.

He was served with two noise abatement notices last October after Halton Council’s environmental health department received a complaint of loud music and a loud television from his property.

Parry breached his notice nine times by playing music so loud both during the day and night and during the early hours of the morning, that the lyrics of songs such as ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany and ‘Young Hearts Run Free’ by Candi Staton, could clearly be heard by neighbours.

Parry was described by magistrates as being "the neighbour from hell”.

He breached his abatement notices between October, 2013 and May, 2014.
