PROUD Halton residents are invited to enter a competion to find the best garden lawn in Britain.
Briggs & Stratton, a leading petrol lawnmower engine manufacturer, is once again looking for gardeners who are passionate about their lawns.
The overall winner of this year’s competition will not only be awarded the title but will also win a walk behind cylinder Atco lawnmower, a selection of tools from Wilkinson Sword and a day’s gardening services of lawn expert and author, Martin Fish.
Ian Small, from Briggs & Stratton, said: “This is a fantastic competition which really accentuates the importance of the British lawn and the hard work that goes into maintaining it.
“We want to see lawns of all different shapes and sizes in this year’s competition and gardeners of all ages and abilities, we’re not judging the entries on size or the owner’s experience but on the quality of the turf.”
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges and lawn experts and there will also be prizes for two runners up.
Gardeners can enter online at britainsbestlawn.co.uk, call 01332 258335 or e-mail hollydaulby@paskett.co.uk before August 9, 2014.
