POLICE are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself to a woman in Widnes.

She was walking alone along Liverpool Road when she was approached by a man in a small blue car.

He asked her for directions before pulling down his shorts, exposing himself to her.

The woman told the offender that she was going to call the police and he drove off towards Chestnut Lodge.

The incident happened between the speed cameras and Ditton Primary School shortly before 9pm on Thursday, July 3.

The man is described as being white, aged 30, of medium build with a shaved head and stubble on his face. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and blue or grey shorts and had a local accent.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Incidents such as this are very rare but we would always encourage members of the public to be vigilant and to inform us of any suspicious activity in an area.”

If you have any information that would help police to catch this offender, call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 916 of the 3rd July.
