THE most excavated monastic site in Europe has been digging and now needs your help.
Runcorn’s 900-year-old Norton Priory is looking for volunteers to clean items that have been discovered and try to identify them.
Activity planner Claire Broadhurst said: “Be the first to disover what we uncovered at Norton Priory during recent excavations by helping us clean away the layers of mud to reveal some fabulous finds.”
Sessions led by the museum curator are being held on Saturday, July 12.
Places must be booked in advance and cost £3 per person.
It is not suitable for children aged under seven. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
There are 10 places available for each session.
