A VICTORIAN fun day is being held at Runcorn’s Norton Priory on Sunday, July 13, from 11am to 4pm.

All the staff will be in costume to celebrate the site’s history.

Traditional sideshow games including a coconut shy, chuck a duck and Victorian toys will be in the walled garden.

Plants, homemade cakes, Norton Priory preserves and second hand books will be on sale.

Learning and community manager, Susan Humphreys said: “Victorian day is a lovely, tradional family day out.

“All the staff and volunteers will be in costume.

“The walled garden is a wonderful, colourful setting.”

A cupcake decorator will show you how to master this popular craft.

There will be stocks and a new orienteering trail for children.

Youngsters can have a go at dressing up.

Ice cream, live music, donkey rides, a birds of prey display and a Victorian fire engine are among some of the other attractions.

Admission is £2. Under fives go free.
