CHESHIRE Police & Crime Commissioner John Dwyer is holding a live web chat.

He is inviting members of the public to ask him questions on Monday, August 11.

He wants to know your thoughts on ways to deal with low level crimes and anti-social behaviour.

John Dwyer said "I enjoy talking to members of the public, whether that’s face to face, on the phone or through digital media channels.

“I’m interested to see if anyone wants to elaborate on any thoughts they’ve had regarding suitable punishments for offenders committing low level crime, or whether someone has thought of an alternative punishment which isn’t listed in the consultation.

"Although this web chat is focussing on the community remedy consultation, I would encourage anyone who has a question, no matter what it relates to, to ask me."

The Commissioner is inviting your questions through Twitter using the #askJohn, via email police.crime.commissioner@cheshire.pnn.police.uk, Facebook www.facebook.com/cheshirepcc or by calling 01606 364000.

The web chat runs from 6pm till 7pm.

You can see the community remedy consultation at cheshire-pcc.gov.uk. The closing date for comments is August 15, 2014.
