A WIDNES motorcyclist has died in hospital after a crash with a coach in Speke.

The 35-year-old man was travelling to work when he was involved in a collision in Hale Road, near Liverpool John Lennon Airport, at 8.20am on Saturday, June 28.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His condition was first described as critical, but, sadly he later died.

Merseyside Police has confirmed that the 53-year-old driver of a Terravision coach has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

No-one on the coach, which was travelling from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Airport, was injured.
