Widnes Market traders with the Mayor of Halton Clr Shaun Osborne, Linda Shard from Marie Curie Cancer Care and Helen Hughes from Alder Hey Children's Hospital
BIG-HEARTED Widnes Market traders and staff have donated more than £3,000 to two local charities.
They raised the money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alder Hey Children's Hospital as part of the national love your local market campaign in May.
They walked 15 miles to Warrington Market and back again along the towpath beside the Sankey Canal.
Halton Council's love your local market co-ordinator, Larry Murphy, said: “We had a great day for the walk.
"There was brilliant sunshine, lots of laughs along the way and of course raising much needed cash for these fantastic charities."
