A SCARECROW festival is being held at the national wildflower centre from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6.
Halton schools and community groups have taken part in this annual event to celebrate being happy and healthy outdoors.
Lots of free workshops are on offer throughout the weekend.
Children can make mini scarecrows, learn how to drum, make dens, follow trails and listen to choirs.
Copies of the James and the giant peach kindly donated by the Roald Dahl and Penguin books can be won in a free prize draw.
Other attractions include craft stalls, a barbecue and home made food.
The centre is in Court Hey Park, Roby Road, Huyton, Liverpool L16 3NA.
