STAFF at a pawnbrokers have pledged to raise £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Workers at H&T in Runcorn Shopping Centre have been doing workouts on a cross trainer whilst their colleagues at 190 other branches mounted a store-to-store relay.
The charity race ended as runners crossed a finishing tape to meet the keep fit enthusiasts in Runcorn.
Assistant manager Tara Sabri said: “Our customers have been really generous. We would like to thank them all for their support.
“We’ve all been doing at least five minutes a day on the cross trainer for the past six weeks. People have been putting money in our tubs.
“So far we’ve collected £150.”
The fundraising continues until July 19.
