WIDNES children held a charity fun run for Macmillan Nurses.
Pupils at West Bank Primary School have pledged to raise £1,000 for the cancer charity as part of a special project.
Year six pupils were challenged to research different charities and then present their findings to the whole school at an assembly.
Every child then voted and the winning charity was announced.
Year six pupil William Hunter said: “‘It has been great fun to be involved in an event like this. We know than the money we raise will be put to good use by such a fantastic charity.”
The run was held on Friday, June 20.
Teacher Sandra Brassington said: ‘All Year six pupils have worked really hard, both in researching different charities and then planning and implementing this event which has been a great achievement.
“Pupils have shown their kindness and determination to make a difference for others.”
