ARMED police surrounded a house in Runcorn following reports of gunfire.
Firearms officers positioned themselves around a house in Littlegate, Halton Brook at 2.25pm on Saturday.
They recovered an air weapon.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said today: “Police received a report of an air powered weapon being used at an address in Runcorn.
“Four local men aged 21, 22, 23 and 26 were arrested in relation to the discharge of a firearm. They were later released from custody and no further action was taken.”
