A WILD picnic is being held at Runcorn nature reserve, Wigg Island, from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, June 29.
There’ll be a chance to see a Forest School demonstration up close, where you can see bushcraft skills first hand and perfectly toast your own marshmallows on the camp fire.
Friendly experts will also be taking intrepid insect explorers out on a minibeast and bug hunt, with plenty to discover during the summer months.
Once you’re back at camp, you can chill out and enjoy live storytelling on the banks of the Mersey.
The fun-filled event is being organised by Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
The Trust’s wild picnic and storytelling camp will be beside Wigg Island Visitor Centre. P Please bring your own food and drink to join the picnic, although some beverages and light refreshments will be available from the visitor centre.
