THE wife of a cyclist killed in a road accident in Widnes has paid tribute to him.

Devoted dad Mike Davies, aged 33, died after his bike was involved in a collision with two cars in Birchfield Road.

His wife, Vicki said: “Mike was my husband, my best friend, a wonderful father to our beautiful daughter and my true soul mate.

“He was loved by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him. I feel truly blessed that I was the person he chose to spend the rest of his life with.

“RIP Mike, you will be forever in our hearts.

“We always knew Michael was a loving, caring and loyal man. He managed to spread his happy personality to a great many people.

“We are overwhelmed by all the loving tributes he has received. It makes us very proud to be parents to such a popular man. He will be so greatly missed by all of us."

Vicki was speaking on behalf of all of Mike’s family, including his mother.

The couple have a one-year-old daughter, Lottie.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision which occurred shortly after 1600 hours on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
