A SELECTION of free taster events are on offer at Halton’s libraries to give people a chance to discover hidden talents.

Tai Chi and tracing your family tree are two of the sessions being provided as part of adult learners’ week to encourage residents to sign up for classes.

Halton Clr Phil Harris, board member for libraries, said: “We are incredibly proud of the courses that we offer and the achievements of our learners.

“Adult learners’ week is a great way to recognise this and engage more people with the work we do.”

Widnes Library is hosting a Tai Chi taster session at 2pm on Friday, June 20, an introduction to online shopping at 2pm on Monday, June 23, and an introduction to online TV at 2pm on Tuesday, June 24.

Halton Lea Library in Runcorn is running a healthy eating workshop at 2pm on Thursday, June 19, a beginners guide to family history at 2pm on Friday, June 20, an introduction to online shopping at 2pm on Tuesday, July 1 and an introduction to online TV at 2pm on Wednesday, July 2.

No booking is necessary.
