A FAMILY fun race has raised £1,000 for a Runcorn child bereavement charity.

More than 50 children and adults joined the Dash for Dad event in Phoenix Park, Castlefields, to celebrate Father’s Day.

Every entrant received a medal and the first three home in each race were awarded a trophy.

They were supporting Child Bereavement UK, which recently opened new family support centre in High Street.

The charity offers free support and information to bereaved children, young people up to age 25, and families who lose a child.
