A RUNCORN dog groomer has lost her own crowing glory to support her best friend who is battling breast cancer.
Mum-of-two Bev Bingham, aged 52, had her head shaved and has raised £1,358 for Cancer Research UK.
She has another £300 to collect and more sponsorship is coming in.
Bev, from Weston Village, said: “My friend is 55 and lives in Beechwood but doesn’t want to be named. She is absolutely amazing.
“I don’t know where she gets her strength from.
“She lost her hair through chemotheraphy. We go everywhere together. I said: ‘If you’re baldy, I will be too’.”
Bev’s daughter, Gemma Unsworth, aged 32, from Palacefields, her head shaved too last Thursday at Terry’s Boutique in Runcorn Shopping Centre.
Bev would like to thank Terry McElroy from the boutique for his generous support.
