A media and TV make up student at Riverside College has landed a dream job with the BBC.

Megan Edwards, aged 24, spent the last three months travelling around the country with a celebrity team for the filming of a new BBC game show Question of Sport - Super Saturday.

She was employed as the ‘on location’ make up artist working with celebrities Phil Tufnell, Matt Dawson, Helen Skilton and Ore Oduba.

She visited locations including the Zip Wire World in Wales, Rockingham Race Track and Tree Top adventures with the TV stars as the team went head to head a series of sporting challenges.

Megan, who is currently completing her level 3 in film and TV make up managed to fit her job in around her studies with the help of tutors.

Megan, who lives in Prescot, said: “I have really enjoyed doing the makeup for this new BBC 1 show. It has been a fantastic experience for me. I have been able to make lots of new contacts and I am hoping it will help to kick start my career.

“My perfect job would be to work as a make up artist for a top movie or music industry star or work as trainer for one of the large makeup brands.

“The tutors at Riverside are really supportive and not only teach you about make up and special effects but they also teach you how to be successful in this tough industry.”
