Firefighters tackle blaze at disused building in Widnes
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire at a derelict building in Widnes this morning.
Three appliances, two from Widnes and one from Warrington, dealt with a blaze at the back of Everite works in Derby Road.
The fire broke out at 11.14am and involved derilict spray booths inside a disused building.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish the blaze.
The fire in now under control.
Crews are still at the scene.
