HALTON visitors to the Cheshire Show can seek free cancer information and advice.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service will be at the Tabley showground in Knutsford from 8am to 6pm on Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18.

No appointment is necessary, and anyone is welcome.

A team of information and support specialists will be on board to offer free, confidential, advice and support to anyone with a concern or a question relating to cancer.

One in four people diagnosed with cancer in the UK will lack support from family or friends during their treatment and recovery, according to research by the charity.

Macmillan’s aim is to be there for everyone hit with the news they have cancer, and their loved ones. Macmillan’s Mobile Information and Support Centres are one such service which is reaching out, and they’re coming to a street near you soon.

A dermatologist doctor available both days, to take any queries around skin cancer.

Helen Tuvey, Macmillan service Manager, said: “No one should face cancer alone. We’re here for anyone, people who have had a cancer diagnosis, carers, friends or anyone who just wants to know more about cancer.

“The service is free, confidential and no appointment is necessary, just step on board.”

If you cannot visit the unit but have questions about cancer, visit macmillan.org.uk or call Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00.
