A 47-year-old HGV driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care following a collision which shut the Runcorn Bridge.
The collision between a HGV, a black Ford Focus and a silver Volvo occurred at approximately 8am this morning.
Three people who were injured in the collision have now been taken to hospital.
Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
The bridge has now reopened although there are still severe delays in the area.
