SCARECROWS will be appearing in Hale Village as residents prepare for their annual carnival on Saturday, June 7.
Celebrations begin with the crowning of the rose queen at midday.
The Manchester Regiment, The Royal British Legion, Liverpool PALS, 208 Field Hospital and Entente Cordiale Battlefield Tours will commemorate the centenary of the Great War.
An action packed day of family fun is planned in Hale Park.
Live music, falconry, classic cards, stalls, an activity tent, donkeys, Tai Chi, dog agility and stalls are among the many attractions.
A selection of home made cakes and light lunches will be served in Hale Village hall, where Laurie Morgan’s historic photographs and Hale Art class display models will be exhibited.
