THE roof of a house caught fire in Moore in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters tackled the blaze in Six Acre Lane, near Moore Primary School, shortly after 5.30am.
A police investigation is now under way.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said:”Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish a fire in the roof space of a house.
“Crews had to remove the loft insulation and cut away the external roof and joists, which were then sheeted over. A large fan was used to disperse the smoke.
"Police attended the scene and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.”
