CHANGES are being made to the timetable of the free shuttle bus service which runs seven days a week between Halton and Warrington hospitals.

The service helps more than 500 patients a week reach their appointments free of charge as well as transporting staff between the two sites.

People visiting relatives in hospital can also use the bus.

The changes come into effect from Tuesday, May 27, and follow patient feedback and also some recent changes to nursing shift patterns at the hospitals.

The bus has full wheelchair and disabled access.

Most of the times only change slightly by 10-15 minutes either way.

The shuttle bus runs from outside the main entrance on Hospital Way at Halton Hospital, makes a quick stop at the Cheshire and Merseyside Treatment Centre at clinic times only and then drops off at the main entrance to Warrington Hospital.

The journey takes around 25 minutes.
