A LARGE amount of copper has been stolen from a business in Runcorn.
Police today appealed for witnesses.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the property being taken from the targeted premises in Shaw Street, near the train station.
PC Chris Birchall said: "The copper, which was worth around £3,000 to £4,000, would have been too heavy for more than one person to carry and it would have required a vehicle to take the metal away from the scene.”
The copper was stolen between 7pm on Saturday, May 10 and and 2.30pm the following day.
Anyone with information should contact PC Chris Birchall on 101 quoting incident number 463 of 11 May 2014 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
