A MAN has been assaulted and robbed by three men in Runcorn.

The 25-year-old victim was walking along Norton Lane in Town Park when he was attacked by a gang who stole his mobile phone and wallet.

He sustained a swollen and bruised eye during the incident which happened shortly before 10pm last night, Thursday, May 8.

The offenders spoke with Liverpool accents and were all wearing dark clothing. They fled in the direction of the Town Park.

The stolen items include a white iphone 5S with a small heart sticker on the back and a black leather wallet with a silver fleur de lis symbol, containing bank cards and cash.
