A DEL Boy lookalike is staging a charity auction at Widnes Market on Wednesday, May 14 in aid of Marie Curie.

His classic Trotters Independent Trading Reliant Robin will be parked outside where he will be happy to pose for pictures.

Signed Ricky Hatton boxing gloves, an overnight stay at The Daffodil Hotel, Ambleside and a professional portrait session worth £400 will be up for grabs.

Cheshire Police, Halton Womens Institute, Halton Vision. Trading Standards, libraries, People into Jobs and Riverside College will have stalls at the event.

Visitors can also browse round the weekly flea market.

New traders can set up business for only £10 for two days during the national Love Your Market campaign.

Halton Council market manager, Ian Goodall said: "This is great opportunity for people to come along and see what your local market has to offer and raise cash for a great cause.”

Halton Mayor Clr Margaret Ratcliffe will declare the auction open at 10am.
