CHILDREN and community groups across Halton are challenged to create their own scarecrow.

The National Wildflower Centre is hosting its sixth scarecrow festival competition on July 5 and 6.

This year’s theme is happy and healthy outdoors, inspired by nature.

There will be lots of action packed family fun events and admission is free.

Entries must be taken to the centre in Court Hey Park, Knowsley L16 3NA by 4.30pm on Monday, June 30.

Judging will take place on July 2.
