DISABLED people living in Halton are to benefit from a new initiative.
Halton Disability Partnership has been awarded a grant of £13,792 for a new 24 month project It will provide regular support for disabled people living in Mersey ward.
The programme aims to address physical and sensory disability and learning disability.
It is one of three charity groups in the north west to share grants of £81,472 from The Health Lottery, using money raised by the HealthReward and awarded by the People’s Health Trust.
Chris Lunn, director of HealthReward, said: “The projects are extremely valuable to a wide range of individuals. We look forward to hearing more about how these initiatives are supporting people to live longer healthier lives.”
John Hume, chief executive of People’s Health Trust, said: “We are delighted to be investing in these local organisations with great ideas to make their communities even better places to grow, live, work and age.”
