A MAN from Liverpool has been charged with attempted kidnap and production of cannabis after being arrested in Runcorn.
Robert Beveridge, aged 22, from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnap at 7.30pm, on Tuesday, April 22 after officers were called to address in Eagles Way, Runcorn, following reports of a disturbance.
Officers then searched an address in Makin Street, Liverpool, where 33 cannabis plants were discovered along with a significant amount of cash.
Beveridge appeared at Runcorn Magistrates on April 25, charged with attempted kidnap and production of cannabis.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, May 6.
