A COFFEE morning at a Widnes church has raised £560.

This sum was match funded by Trinity Kings Cross so that £1,120 has now been donated towards the refurbishment of a new sensory room at Chesnut Lodge School in Green Lane.

Volunteers would like to thank everyone who supported the event at Trinity Church in Peelhouse Lane.

A bring and buy stall, raffle and tombola helped to boost funds.

Visitors were served tea and coffee with toasted hot cross buns.
