MORE than 200 Easter eggs have been donated to Halton Brook Children’s Centre in Runcorn.

Staff at Harvey Thompson in Runcorn Shopping Centre were inundated with chocolate gifts after making an appeal.

Manager Sandra Sproston, aged 55, from Hallwood Park, said: “It’s been absolutely fantastic. One customer donated 15.

“The response has been overwhelming.”

Traders in other shops also donated eggs.

Halton Brook Children’s Centre in Fernhurst offers practical help, support and a range of services to children and their families.

This includes health services, parental support, counselling and links with Jobcentre Plus for parents and carers seeking training or employment.

Early help officer Mo Ball said: “We develop new initiatives which are based on identified need and will encourage involvement in learning through adult education, community engagement and play.”
