POLICE are appealing for information after vandals torched two bins in Runcorn last night.

A bin in Hallwood Park opposite Runcorn Shopping Centre was torched shortly before 9.30pm.

Firefighters discovered another blazing bin in a park near the Co-op in Ridgeway, Murdishaw, minutes later.

The fire was put out using hand held extinguishers.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Both fires are believed to have been started deliberately.”

Anyone with information can call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
