FREE internet taster days are being held for Halton residents aged over 60 to learn more about using computers.

People will be shown how to search and browse the internet at Widnes library on Monday, March 31, from 11am to 12 noon, and how to set up an e-mail address at Halton Lea library, Runcorn, on Wednesday, April 2, from 11am-12 noon.

Clr Phil Harris, board member for library services, said: “We know that for some, computers and the internet can be a little scary, particularly for many older people, and they just need a helping hand to get them started.

“We hope as many people as possible will come along and give digital technology a go.”

The sessions are being held as part of Spring Online 2014, in association with Carphone Warehouse.
