AN exciting new project has been launched in Runcorn.

Volunteers on the Barnfield Community Farm in Murdishaw have started clearing land at Murdishaw Community Centre to start planting in the spring.

A government initiative is aimed at showing 16 and 17-year-olds how to grow vegetables, eat well and eat well and enjoy green spaces.

Halton Clr Dave Cargill, said “It’s fabulous to see all these young people getting involved and helping to improve their community."
