A FORMER Alice of Daresbury is hoping to sing her way into the recording studio after reaching the regional final of Teenstar.

Charlotte Codack, from Sandymoor, will be performing for the judges at The Liner Hotel in Liverpool on Sunday, March 9.

Being on stage has been the 11-year-old’s passion since she was young and she recently appeared in Beauty and the Beast at The Brindley.

Her mum Nicky said: "Charlotte is a shy little girl until she gets on the stage.

“Give her a part to play or a song to sing and she will put every effort in to get it right. She has so much ambition but people don't see this in her in her normal day to day life as she is quite reserved.

“We are so proud of her and would love to see her reach her ambitions using her hidden talents"

If the Moore Primary School and Glenda Hill Theatreworks pupil impresses the judges she will go on to sing at the north west and Scotland final at the Royal Northern College of Music on May 18.

The winner will be given recording studio time, music development classes and £5,000.

Tickets for the regional final are £8. Call Nicky on 07818083133.
