Lane closures on the Silver Jubilee Bridge next weekend
MOTORISTS are warned of lane closures on the Runcorn Widnes bridge next weekend, March 15 and 16.
Urgent repairs have to be carried out on the Silver Jubilee bridge and trees are being removed from the adjacent railways lines.
The on-slip from the A557 Weston Point Expressway and the slip from the bridge to the Weston Point Expresssway will also be closed for the weekend.
It is hoped that work on the bridge will be completed on Saturday, March 15, but due to the work on the West Coast mainline the slip road will be closed until Sunday morning.
Halton Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while these essential maintenance works are carried out.
