A WIDNES licensee has been assaulted at his pub.
Six men have now been arrested.
Gary McGovern, aged 51, suffered cuts to his chin and eye after a group of men verbally abused and assaulted him at The Observatory Hungry Horse pub in Queensbury Way, Upton Rocks.
The incident happened at around 11.25pm on Wednesday, March 5.
Mr McGovern was taken to Whiston Hospital.
Sgt Neil Edgar, from Widnes Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “Six local men aged from 20 to 26 have been arrested and released on police bail, pending further enquiries.”
Four suspects were arrested on the night and two afterwards.
