FORMER Eastenders actor Sam Attwater, the latest celebrity to leave Dancing on Ice All-Stars on last night's live show, has been training in Widnes.

He has been rehearsing with his fiancee and professional skating partner, Vicky Ogden, aged 29, at the Silver Blades rink at The Hive Leisure Park.

The 28-year-old, who won the sixth series of Dancing on Ice in 2011, faced a skate off  on Sunday with Ray Quinn for a place in the final.

Julie Rivas from Silver Blades in Widnes said: “Sam and Vicky were dancing here every day last week and they were working so hard.

“It’s devastating that they were knocked out but the competition has been extremely stiff.

“They always made themselves available for photographs and signed autographs.

“Seeing a celebrity like that get on the ice and be that good really encourages people to give it a go.”

She said the Widnes ice rink is proving very popular. A record crowd watched the ice hockey on Sunday.

The final Dancing on Ice All Stars will inclue Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon, Ray Quinn and Olympic gymnast, Beth Tweddle.
