HUNDREDS of patients across Halton have had their health and wellbeing checked through an innovative project.

Each GP practice has a dedicated community wellbeing officer who can put your in touch with activity groups, life skill courses and community events.

This service is now available to everyone in Runcorn and Widnes.

It doesn’t just check your medical needs but can point you in the right direction if you have money worries or feel lonely and isolated.

A personalised plan can be created to help you achieve your goals.

Mark Swift, chief executive pfficer of Wellbeing Enterprises CIC, said, “We’re delighted to launch the wellbeing review service through GP Practices, which helps patients to access support in their community that can improve their health and wellbeing. “Whether it’s help with money worries, wanting to exercise more or looking to try new things or meet new people, our team of community wellbeing officers can help to connect you to the right support.”

You can make your own appointment by contacting Wellbeing Enterprises on 01928 589799 or e-mail info@wellbeingenterprises.org.uk.

You can also visit your GP Practice and ask one of the reception staff to book an appointment for you.

The wellbeing review appointment service is part of the Community Wellbeing Practice initiative in Halton.

Provided by local social enterprise Wellbeing Enterprises CIC, the initiative ensures that GP Practices are better connected to sources of support in the community that can help people to stay well throughout life.
