Children and young people asked what they would like to see in Halton's libraries

They are being invited to take part in a survey to help Halton Council plan services for decades to come.

The survey, from The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy,aims to see what changes may be needed to serve the next generation.

Halton Clr Phil Harris, board member for libraries, said: "The survey is vitally important to the development of Halton Libraries service.

"It will provide satisfaction and benchmarking statistics which will be used for planning our future services to children and young people so it is valuable to everyone involved. "

The findings will measure performance in public services and help managers develop the service for the future, especially for young people.

The survey is available all four libraries, Halton Lea, Runcorn, Widnes, Ditton, and the mobile library.

The survey is very short and asks easy questions about what children and young people currently engage with in the libraries and how they would like to see the libraries develop in the future.

The survey runs until Saturday, March 1 and can to be completed at the library and handed in to staff.
