AN underground cable fault left some Runcorn residents without power for two days.

The problem initially affected 10 homes in Beechwood, but more properties had to be disconnected to enable engineers to repair the damage.

Homes lost power at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 18.

More residents were cut off on Wednesday.

A spokesman for ScottishPower said: “The incident was caused by an underground cable fault. It impacted 10 properties but yesterday, additional customers, served by the same line had to be disconnected.

“All customers were restored at 6.50pm last night.

“We apologise for any inconvenience.”
