Staff and customers at Halton Housing Trust’s extra care scheme, Naughton Fields in Widnes raised almost £200 during British Heart Foundation’s ramp up the red day.
They baked and sold cakes, wore red clothes and held raffles.
Gary McDonnell, owner of the Olive Tree Bistro, wore a Liverpool shirt, which was a challenging task as he is a devoted Everton fan.
The scheme’s salon, Atrina Beauty, offered red painted nails for £10, half of which was donated to the charity.
Angela Deakin, scheme manager said: “It was an excellent day, with lots of fun and activities. We managed to raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation’s research and we also raised an impressive donation of £200.
“It was great seeing staff and customers pull together for such a worthy cause.
“It’s a real sense of achievement knowing that you have helped with the fight against heart conditions. Our community pulled together and had a good day.”
