A DRUGS raid in Runcorn has led to the arrest of three men.

Officers from Runcorn Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a warrant at a property in Charlton Close, Palacefields.

A quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs were seized at the address yesterday along with £500 in cash.

Three men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Two of the men, aged 21 and 22, were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

An 18-year-old man was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.

PC Tom Ashton, from Runcorn Neighborhood Policing Unit, said: "We are committed to tackling illegal drugs within the local community.

"Residents in the Palacefields area have raised concerns about anti-social behaviour often associated with drug use and supply and we hope that the efforts of local officers are helping to reassure them that we are listening to what they are saying and taking positive action where necessary.

"I would urge the people of Runcorn to contact the police if they have any concerns about drug related activity in their area. Information from members of the public is vital in the fight against drug related crime and we would urge anyone with any information in relation to drug use and supply in the town to get in touch."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101. Information can also be passed on anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
