A MOTORCYCLE safety day is being held in Widnes.

Halton Borough Council's youth provision is hosting the event at the CRMZ youth centre on Kingsway, Widnes on Sunday February, 16, from 10am to 2pm.

As the half-term holidays begin, youngsters will be warned about the dangers of unsafe motorcycle, mini moto and off-road scrambler use.

Classic motorcycle films, clips and music will be screened.

Cheshire Cobras and other local scooter clubs will be meeting for their weekly ride out at the centre at 10am and young people and families can come along to see their customized scooters.

Cheshire Police will be bringing along one of its bikes and talking to young people about keeping safe and out of trouble this half term.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to talk to young people about motorcycle safety and the law.

The project is organised by Catch-22 on behalf of Halton’s Children’s Trust and Halton Council as part of an on-going commitment to improve opportunities for all children and young people living in the borough.
