CHILDREN had a lesson with a difference in their Widnes classrooms.
Paul Dunne, from Merseyside Dogs Home, spoke to pupils at Simms Cross Primary School about caring for their pets.
Head teacher Lesley Feakes said: “It links into our value of responsibility.
“Paul talked about providing food, water, a shelter, bed, taking your pet to the vet when it is poorly and walking the dog.
“The children really enjoyed the talk as many pupils have dogs at home.”
Pupils study different values throughout the year.
