TWO terrified teenagers were robbed at a Runcorn bus stop by a gang of young men.

The boys, aged 13 and 14, were threatened and had their Apple i-phone 4 mobile phones snatched from their hands.

They were sitting at a bus stop on the Busway beside flats in Tanhouse when the incident happened.

The youths ran off down a footpath towards The Brow.

Detectives today appealed for witnesses.

The two main offenders were described as a 15-16-year-old boy, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build. He was wearing a black outdoor style coat with a hood up covering his face.

The second suspect was 13-14-years-old, 5ft 4ins tall, white skinned, skinny build and wearing a blue Adidas hooded top with the hood up over his face.

DC Marc Roberts said: “One of the males spoke with a southern accent and the other with a local accent. I would urge anyone with any knowledge whatsoever to contact Cheshire Police.”

The robbery happened at around 8pm on Thursday, January 9.
