CHILDREN visiting Runcorn’s Norton Priory Museum to find out about bats got a surprise when they found vampires.

Youngsters from Halton Brook Children’s Centre were delighted to discover CBBC show Young Dracula was being filmed in the medieval undercroft.

The cast and crew chatted to the children and posed for photographs between filming scenes.

The new series of Young Dracula starts this evening, Monday, January 13, at 6pm on CBBC.

Norton Priory Museum activity planner Claire Broadhurst said: “It was lovely of the crew to pose for photographs with the children. “We can’t wait to see the new episodes to see what the undercroft looks like with a bit of TV magic.”

Young Dracula is a teenage horror drama following a family of vampires, Vlad, his sister, Ingrid, and their father, Count Dracula after they moved to Britain from Transylvania.

The undercroft has been used in the past by production crews filming The Forsythe Saga, Islands at War, Casanova and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
