A COURTYARD is being transformed into a community garden at Murdishaw Health Centre.

Dedicated residents have been working on the design and a plea is now being made for people to help finish it by April.

Volunteer days are being held on Wednesday, January 15, from 10am to 12 noon, at Murdishaw Commmunity Centre and on Wednesday, January 29, from 1-m to 4pm, and Thursday, February 27, from 1pm to 4pm at Murdishaw Health Centre.

Activities will include building raised flower beds, planting flowers and choosing and installing a central feature.

Refreshments will be provided.

Wellbeing Enterprises would like to acknowledge the generosity and commitment of local warden Joe Orme from Jigsaw neighbourhood solutions, and Dave Hislop and Alex McLean from Liberty Gas who helped to design the garden and fit a water pipe.

Liverpool Housing Trust awarded a grant for the project.

Anyone interested in helping can just come along on the day. The event is free.
